Welcome.  You have entered the Language Placement Registration Site of the Department of German, Russian and Asian Languages and Literatures. The language placement test helps determine your language skill and the appropriate level of language course you should take at Tufts. All language exams contain listening and reading sections; some may contain speaking and writing sections.

If you have already activated your Tufts email account please log in and register for a session.

Language Placement Test Locations:

• The Chinese placement test, for both simplified and traditional characters, will be held in the Electronic Resource Center in Tisch Library.
• The Japanese placement test will be held in the Mark Computer Lab in Tisch Library.
• The German placement test will be held in Room 006 in the Olin Center.
